Tips On Speeding Up Your Computer
Everyone knows that your computer seems to run so fast when you first take it out of the box, and then quickly seems to drop to a snail’s pace after just a few weeks. There are several tips that are easy to do that keep your computer running smooth and clean.
Make sure you run those updates! Doesn’t matter if you are a gamer or just checking email; updates help fix issues in the software your computer is running. Chances are if you are seeing performance issues, you will find some updates that will update your system in ways that will help.
Schedule disk defragmenting sessions using your computer’s scheduling option. Over time, your PC will gather tons of bits of information that are actually fragments of files scattered all over the place (imagine Lego blocks scattered all over a child’s room). Defragmenting the hard drive is a great way to keep your programs loading quickly.
Another way to help the performance of your system is to dump your temporary internet files. You can do this from your web browser, usually listed in the “tools” section. As you surf, the files you view pile up in the far corners of your hard drive and getting rid of them is always a good idea.
